I’ve been feeling very dysphoric lately and I don’t think that I can bear to live with this female body any longer. So please help me out and donate if you can.
you need to be earnest. you need to tell people that you love them. you need to speak on how you’re feeling honestly. you need to be sentimental. you need to stop letting the fear of other people laughing at you have so much control over how you express yourself. you need to get over yourself. you need to be embarrassing but true.
happy PRIDE i’m here i’m queer and i believe the land should be given back to the proper indigenous stewards.
Non-Natives reblogging this are great and wonderful
Please remember that “land back” does not mean “indigenous people are mystical elves with innate epigenetic wisdom of land stewardship and they don’t belong in big cities,” nor does it mean “non-indigenous people can’t be farmers.”
What it DOES mean is that “non-indigenous farmers should be paying the equivalent of property taxes to the native governments their land was stolen from.”
It means, “there’s a great deal of indigenous scholarship on sustainable agricultural practices that farmers should be taking into account, because indigenous agriculture was more advanced than European agriculture at the time Europe invaded the Americas and western agriculture *still* hasn’t caught up in terms of figuring out how to produce equivalently high crop yields without compromising the ecosystem.”
It means, “non-indigenous farmers should be in an intellectual discourse with indigenous agricultural scientists and indigenous peoples that still do traditional farming, figuring how to repair the damage western farming practices have done to the ecosystem.”
It also means that indigenous peoples should regain the right to sustain themselves on the land according to the practices they want, and they should have free reign to perform their cultural practices and protect their holy sites, as opposed to the current model where if they try to honor their dead on public lands they get violently removed.
Even though there are advantages to seeking help and guidance from others, relying entirely on external validation can be limiting. Waiting for someone else to believe in you before taking action can lead to missed opportunities and a sense of dependency. Recognizing that nobody knows you better than yourself is crucial. Only you possess deep insight into your aspirations, ambitions, and capabilities. By placing your trust in your own potential, you seize control of your life and become the mastermind behind your own accomplishments.
so SAG-AFTRA finally released some official guidance for fans, viewers, creators/influencers, critics, and more during the strike. here’s what you need to know:
if you see a publication/news source/journalist talking about a piece of struck work, that’s ok. they’re allowed to do that.
2. they’re asking regular viewers and fans to DONATE TO STRIKE FUNDS, SHOW UP TO PICKETS IF YOU CAN, and please do NOT boycott streaming services or movies in theaters.
3. influencers, content creators, cosplayers, and anything in between is still a bit of a grey area, but they’re asking people to use their best judgement. “organically” means UNPAID promo (like an invite to a premiere without being paid, being sent a publicity box, letting the company’s social media post a photo of you in cosplay, etc).
obviously this doesn’t answer every question, and isn’t hard and fast rules for fanworks, but it can at least inform how you personally choose to move forward when posting online and moving publically. i hope this helps!
To cultivate self-confidence, it ’s essential to develop self-awareness and gain insight into your strengths and weaknesses. Acknowledge and celebrate even the smallest accomplishments. They are the stepping stones toward greater achievements. Practice positive self-talk and replace your self-doubt with affirmations. Embrace challenges as opportunities for personal growth and perceive failures as stepping stones to success. Most important of all, never lose sight of your ability to accomplish great things.
Everyday external validation often takes centre stage in our lives, it is vital to recognize that self-belief is the cornerstone of personal growth and success. While the support of others is valuable, it is ultimately up to you to have faith in your own abilities and your potential. By doing this, you tap into an internal power and transform your life. Remember that no one else can do it for you—only you can.
Learn the skill of delaying your response when faced with someone who is intentionally trying to provoke you. Refuse to let others dictate your mood. Take charge of your emotions. You decide when, how, and whether you want to to react. You control yourself, no one else does.
How did Gloreth rise to power? Has anyone answered this or have a theory?
Of course the story we hear in the beginning of the movie is warped.
Cuz in the flashback, Nimona and Gloreth and both little girls and Gloreth didn’t defeat her. It’s the villagers who prodded her and burned Nimona’s back.
Gloreth just brandished a toy sword at Nimona.
I understand that Nimona was demonized since then, but what happened to the village? How did a little girl, Gloreth, rise to power and create these knights trained to kill monsters?
How did Gloreth.. essentially go out of her way to paint Nimona as a monster, if she really did create the Institute and founded the knights
